Hope 4 Life is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting women facing unexpected pregnancies. The organization provides free pregnancy testing, ultrasounds, confidential emotional support, and essential baby supplies, including diapers, clothing, toiletries, and other necessities.
Hope 4 Life operates two 30-foot mobile ultrasound units that serve communities throughout the workweek, positioning near the three remaining abortion facilities in Hampton Roads Southside. As of 2025, the organization has saved more than 1,261 children. In a single year, Hope 4 Life distributed over 19,000 diapers, 26 complete nursery sets, and 167 grocery bags, assisting 140 families and saving 99 babies.
Council 4632 plays a key role in supporting the ongoing maintenance of the mobile units. Council member Fred Artho leads the regular maintenance efforts and coordinates volunteer assistance for the vehicle maintenance schedule.
In July 2025, members of Council 4632 assisted Hope 4 Life with the construction of an on-site storage facility for baby item distribution, eliminating the need for rented storage space.
